Sri Lanka will take on Bangladesh in the Super 12 of the T20 World Cup today. Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bowl first. Both the teams have performed well in the qualifying round and have secured a place in the Super 12 round. The Bangladesh team is seen as a reversal team.
Both the countries have not played any international T20 match since 2018. In three T20 matches played in 2018, Bangladesh had won two matches. Both the teams have played 11 Twenty20 matches, of which Sri Lanka have won seven and Bangladesh four. This is the second time that Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have met in the Twenty20 World Cup, with Sri Lanka winning the only match in 2007.
