Agartala: A mentally unstable man killed five people including his two daughters in Ramchandraghat, Khowai in Tripura. A policeman is also among those who lost their lives in this attack. The police gave information about this incident on Saturday. However, with the help of local people, the accused has been apprehended. At the same time, the police had to make a lot of effort to save the accused from the angry mob. During this, two people have also been injured, whose condition is said to be serious.
According to media reports, accused Pradeep Debroy went out of control on Friday. During this he killed his two daughters, one and seven years old. Debroy also attacked and injured his wife Meena Paul. When the accused's elder brother Prabir tried to stop him, Pradeep also hit him on the head, whose brother died on the spot.
According to reports, after this Pradeep started roaming in the area with a sharp weapon. He stopped on the road, where his eyes fell on the auto rickshaw parked. Pradeep attacked the passengers sitting in the rickshaw, killing 54-year-old Krishna Das. Das's son was also seriously injured in this incident. Additional police force has been deployed to maintain peace in the area.
On the information of the villagers, Khowai reached there under the leadership of Satyajit Malik of the police station. On seeing the police, Pradeep attacked Malik, due to which he suffered serious injuries and he fell unconscious. While apprehending Pradeep, another policeman was injured. Malik was referred from the local hospital to the Agartala Government Medical College, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The situation had become so uncontrollable that the neighbors had imprisoned themselves in their homes out of fear. However, later seeing the situation deteriorating, people caught him. Neighbors have claimed that Pradeep is a small trader and he is addicted to ganja. Also he was suffering from depression. He was at home due to lack of work for a few days and his family was facing financial problems. He got angry after an argument with his wife over a domestic matter.
