Light Combat Helicopter: Today is going to be a very special day for India and its army, because today the Indian Air Force is going to get the lightest attack helicopter and the most special and proud thing in this is that the helicopter cannot be bought from anywhere. Well, this is a helicopter made in the country. The Light Combat Helicopter has been developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). Today in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hand over the LCH to the Indian Air Force. Know what it means to join LCH's Air Force fleet and how big an answer this attack helicopter is to China.
Why does this infallible weapon scare the enemy?
Ability to fly up to an altitude of 15 to 16 thousand feet.
The world's only helicopter that can not only takeoff and land at difficult altitudes, but also has the power to hit the enemy while flying in the world's highest battlefield Siachen Glacier.
Effective even in temperatures ranging from minus 50 degrees Celsius on snow peaks to 50 degrees Celsius in the desert.
Equipped with air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles.
And after 13 years of hard work, it was carved.
The Amrit Mahotsav of Independence is being celebrated across the country on the occasion of 75 years of Independence Day. This program will run for three days in Jhansi, UP. On the first day of the program, UP CM Yogi Adityanath and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh started it by reaching Jhansi. Today, on the last day of the program, Prime Minister Modi will reach Jhansi and will include the country-made Light Combat Helicopter in the Indian Air Force fleet. Apart from this, a consignment of drones will be handed over to the Chief of Army Staff, whose need was constantly being felt on the Indo-China border.
LCH can easily carry out its mission on the peaks
Light Combat Helicopter i.e. LCH has 20 mm gun, 70 mm rocket and air to air missile. If combined with its avionics and arm, then it can find and destroy the target whether it is in the air or on the ground. During the mission, this attack helicopter is manually operated. That is, it can be erected at 180 degrees or it can also be reversed. It can also be rotated rapidly in the air itself at Revolve i.e. 360 degrees. This helicopter can operate in any weather and climate. The cost of indigenous LCH is around Rs 150 crore. The LCH with very light and special rotors can easily carry out its mission on the peaks. The weight of the LCH is about 6 tonnes.
India felt the need for such a helicopter during the war with Pakistan in Kargil in 1999, because the enemy was sitting at an altitude of thousands of feet at that time. This project was approved in the year 2006 and then after 13 years of hard work, the country got LCH. This Light Combat Helicopter, prepared on the land of India, is far ahead of America's very advanced attack helicopter Apache.
He is also adept at throwing dust in the eyes of the enemy.
The LCH will not be easily caught by enemy radar.
If an enemy helicopter or fighter jet fires its missile at the LCH, it can also dodge it.
Its body is such that there will be no special effect of firing on it.
Even the rotors i.e. the fans will not be affected by the bullet.
Can also give instant alert of nuclear biological and chemical attack.
Indian Air Force is the fourth largest air force
The Indian Air Force is the fourth largest air force in the world. Which has a total of 1700 aircrafts. And more than half of this is about 900 fighter aircraft. The Indian Air Force is continuously upgrading itself and part of the fighter planes involved in the upgrade mission are Jaguar, Mirage-2000, MiG-29 and Sukhoi-30 Mki.
Drone consignment will be handed over to the Chief of Army Staff
In January this year, the Indian Army had made a deal of Rs 140 crore with an indigenous company regarding drones. This company named IdeaForge is providing 'Switch' tactical drones to the Indian Army. These 'Switch' tactical drones are to be used for surveillance along the Indo-China border adjoining eastern Ladakh.
What is their specialty?
Switch drones can fly up to an altitude of 4000 meters.
Can monitor within a radius of 15 km.
The LAC adjoining eastern Ladakh is a long stretch of high altitude mountains. In such a situation, it proves to be very difficult for the Indian Army to protect these mountains, but now with the help of these drones, the 826 km long LAC adjacent to eastern Ladakh will be guarded.
